I have been married for 20+ years to my wife Kelly, I have 2 lovely daughters Emily & Tiah.
I love Fiji holiday's, scuba diving, sun, surf, anything in the water is great, I have played a lot of golf over the years as it is in my nature to try to be better at the things I love to do, if you have played golf and enjoyed it, you know what I mean.
Work wise, I began my journey back in 1988, when I started my trade, completing it in 1991, I mainly worked in the commercial installation of aluminium and glass projects.
Projects of note: city high-rise buildings, Olympic stadium roof and corporate boxes, Airport control tower, Angel place recital hall just to name a few.
I site managed men on some of these projects in my younger years, I also worked for a number of smaller companies over the years as you do in the construction industry.
I also completed a small business management course through tafe at night, then decided it was time to specialise in a niche area, that being operable wall and door installations.
I was employed by Lotus Folding Walls & Doors for a few years installing, before becoming their first nsw sub-contractor in 2002 and continued for the next ten years 2012.
The rest of my story unfolds above.
My apprenticeship was a 4 year course, 3 years at Tafe, 4 year full time on the job.
I worked on commercial curtain walling systems ( High-rise building exteriors)
and all aluminium and glass related works, the job was varied and interesting
as it changed all the time.
After my apprenticeship I did various installation work, like shopfronts, glass replacements skylights, architectural wall cladding, toilet partitions, glass pool fencing, shower screens, and domestic windows and doors and other building industry works.
Completed the School Certificate, but I new I just wanted to work, looking back now thow I wish I had put a little more effort in.
A year older would have been better. ( too Young) :)
